In this challenge, you’ll start by working with Cloud Storage using the CLI and defining secure access through custom IAM roles. You’ll then deploy and manage serverless functions using Cloud Run, both from the command line and the console. On the observability side, you’ll set up Cloud Monitoring, track performance across multiple projects, and create alerts using logs-based metrics. Finally, you’ll deploy a Java application on App Engine to see how these components come together in a real-world setup.
What does it take to run applications that stay fast, reliable, and ready to scale? In this challenge, you’ll explore the pieces that make it possible—from designing databases with Cloud Spanner and connecting them to modern web apps, to managing deployments with Google Cloud Deploy. You’ll also learn networking basics, configure an Internal Application Load Balancer, and even create a no-code chat app with AppSheet to see how quickly ideas can turn into working applications.
