This is the second of five courses in the Google Cloud Cybersecurity Certificate. In this course, you’ll explore widely-used cloud risk management frameworks, exploring security domains, compliance lifecycles, and industry standards such as HIPAA, NIST CSF, and SOC. You'll develop skills in risk identification, implementation of security controls, compliance evaluation, and data protection management. Additionally, you'll gain hands-on experience with Google Cloud and multi-cloud tools specific to risk and compliance. This course also incorporates job application and interview preparation techniques, offering a comprehensive foundation to understand and effectively navigate the complex landscape of cloud risk management.
The Google Cloud Computing Foundations courses are for individuals with little to no background or experience in cloud computing. They provide an overview of concepts central to cloud basics, big data, and machine learning, and where and how Google Cloud fits in. By the end of the series of courses, learners will be able to articulate these concepts and demonstrate some hands-on skills. The courses should be completed in the following order: 1. Google Cloud Computing Foundations: Cloud Computing Fundamentals 2. Google Cloud Computing Foundations: Infrastructure in Google Cloud 3. Google Cloud Computing Foundations: Networking and Security in Google Cloud 4. Google Cloud Computing Foundations: Data, ML, and AI in Google Cloud This third course covers cloud automation and management tools and building secure networks.
Earn a skill badge by completing the The Basics of Google Cloud Compute skill badge course, where you learn how to work with virtual machines (VMs), persistent disks, and web servers using Compute Engine.
Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) is all about running and managing containerized applications without worrying too much about the underlying setup. In this adventure, you’ll get hands-on with how things actually work—managing workloads, debugging issues, and trying out autoscaling. You’ll also explore Autopilot, run load tests, and work with private clusters and network access. By the end, you’ll have a clearer sense of how GKE setups are put together and handled in practice.
This is the first of five courses in the Google Cloud Cybersecurity Certificate. In this course, you’ll explore the essentials of cybersecurity, including the security lifecycle, digital transformation, and key cloud computing concepts. You’ll identify common tools used by entry-level cloud security analysts to automate tasks.
Complete the intermediate Mitigate Threats and Vulnerabilities with Security Command Center skill badge course to demonstrate skills in the following: preventing and managing environment threats, identifying and mitigating application vulnerabilities, and responding to security anomalies.
Earn a Skill Badge by completing the Deploy and Manage Applications on Google App Engine course, where you learn how to use App Engine with Python, Go, and PHP.
Over 85% of enterprises are accelerating AI and cloud adoption to stay ahead. In this voyage, you’ll prepare and protect data using Dataprep and the Cloud Data Loss Prevention API, scan for vulnerabilities, and validate workloads. You’ll also build and deploy modern applications using Cloud Build, GKE pipelines, App Engine Flexible, and Artifact Registry — while creating AI-powered solutions with Vertex AI, Gemini, and Speech-to-Text. Together, these labs help you secure data, deploy confidently, and build intelligent cloud applications at scale.
Great data experiences don’t happen by accident — they’re modeled, optimized, and scaled with intent. In this challenge, you’ll build a strong foundation with Looker by creating modeled queries, defining measures and dimensions, modularizing LookML with extends, and refining logic using functions and operators. You’ll filter Explores, merge results, and sort insights to uncover what truly matters. You’ll also enhance performance with caching and explore distributed processing with Dataproc. These are the same capabilities that Zoomcar used on Google Cloud to modernize its data stack — and now, you get to build them too!
