There was only instance-group-2 in the VMs list for Task 3. Checking Compute Engine > Instance Groups, I found that instance-group-1 failed to create as the zone did not have enough resources available to fulfill the request

bug submitted by my instructor last night and google replied and said it was not an issue that our entire class could not complete this lab.

No hay recursos disponibles en la zona para poder desplegar las vms del instance group, es impsible de avanzar si en cada laboratorio hay problemas a la hora de desplegar los recursos, más si son los que se deben despelgar desde el propio laboratorio para tener la infraestructura sobre la que trabajar.
