I enjoyed the lab as it brought concepts to life, especially the concept that VPC networks are isolated private networking domains (explained during the lesson): Virtual machines in the same network but different regions communicate over internal IPs, while virtual machines in the same region or zone but different networks communicate over external IPs. However, I have 2 suggestions for this lab: 1. This note near the end of Task 2 is not well explained: "You can SSH to mynet-us-vm and ping mynet-eu-vm's internal and external IP addresses as expected. Alternatively, you can SSH to mynet-eu-vm and ping mynet-us-vm's internal and external IP addresses, which also works." I was confused when reaching this part and spent a lot of time trying to understand why. Then when I got to Task 4 - “Explore connectivity across networks”, it's all explained clearly. My recommendation is you move this section to Task 4 so others don't get confused in the middle of the lab. 2. The quiz question near the end of Task 2 has more than one answer. The quiz question is: "Which firewall rule allows the ping to mynet-eu-vm's external IP address?", and the correct answer is: "mynetwork-allow-icmp". However, I'd like to argue that "mynetwork-allow-custom" is also a correct answer. If you follow all steps exactly as laid out in Task 2, you'll have a mynetwork-allow-custom firewall rule. Clicking into this rule, you'll see that it allows ingress traffic from all protocols. That includes icmp protocol, which lets you ping. Thus, deleting the allow-icmp while still having the allow-custom the will still allow you to ping to the external IP address of a VM. You can try deleting mynetwork-allow-icmp to test this. That's all and thank you for making this lab.
