I think labs should be made without revealing the solution first. First a generic manner of doing the tasks should be shown, then problems/goals provided. The student can then attempt to solve the problems/achieve goals themselves and every step can be checked. "create a VPC network with these settings" *check if's done* "you're missing option X in your configuration, please retry" *check if it's done* And if the student fails to achieve the goal three times, the solution is shown (just like now). It would teach me way more than just blindly following steps.
