I realized my mistakes. The only issue with this lab is the Asia VM region and zone are incorrect. They should be Asia, but are listed as US.

This lab is awful. There are permission issues that did not allow the firewall rules to be created again after deleting the default network and firewall rules. The VM for asia had the wrong region and zone listed. I knew enough to put it in asia. Amd when I tried to start over by deleting my VM's and the network, that failed also with a permission error.
