Must be reviewed… First of all, there is a new “Quick: Make a free instance!” option. At first, I thought, “Oh, this must be the one I need to use,” since it was the only visible “Create instance” option when I opened the lab. The confusing part is that, since there were no pre-created instances at the beginning, the Quick options were shown immediately and prominently, while the actual option to manually create a new instance was all the way at the bottom. There were also several other similar options, which made it even more confusing. After using the Quick option and continuing through the instructions, I realized that we were actually supposed to create the instance manually. By then, the lab had already been terminated because using the wrong option was considered a “violation.” I think this could be easily avoided by adding a clear note at the very beginning telling students to scroll to the bottom and manually create a new instance, especially because the Quick options are the first thing shown when there are no existing instances. So yeah… I definitely got played by the UI lol.
