The UI of creating an Instance is an different in given lab. In Google Cloud Console after loosing 2 credits just because the instance was not created as per lab's configuration. And real step to create it is under Create Custom Instance. Please make sure to update the guide to help others learn from it.

I misunderstood the first step because it is not identical to what you see on the screen. Create instance is not in front of you.
