On the last step when running the "bq" command from the cloud shell, it did not prompt me for an account selection, and instead just gave me an error "[bq] You do not currently have an active account selected.". It would be useful to mention that the project can be set from the cloud shell with the command "gcloud config set project <project_id>". Running the bq command a second time (even without setting the project id) did allow the query to go through.
