It seems unwise to actively be teaching a feature that is officially deprecated and scheduled to be completely removed in the next minor version of the platform. Also there is a step missing somewhere in the instructions as the pod security policy never prevented the deployment of a privileged pod, even after multiple time of deleting and retrying the deployment waiting for enforcement to kick in.
