Labs is not opening

I've participated in many many labs before and I've never had the kind of troubles I had today. First it was getting to the lab and getting in (never before, always smooth before today), and then it was me trying to figure out how to do the lab. I was following directions but maybe this is just so far outside of my normal work that I couldn't understand the instructions. I then got blocked because I looked dangerous. Nothing felt obvious or intuitive. I typically have issues when I have to use Jupyter notebooks, so it's probably just me and no one else had this kind of problem, maybe?
