Google recommends gcloud instead of gsutil, but the lab still uses gsutil. Also, for creating a MySQL instance, the region was not selectable. However, it was already pre-set to the correct value. Also, /var/www did not exist, so I created /var/www/html... Also, the automation script, even though pasted in the proper text box, did not run... So I ran it manually. Finally, the apache2 service did not need to be restarted after editing index.php with the img tag, as I saw the image after refreshing the browser when the index.php file editing was completed. I also restarted it just to be sure... (I suppose the restart would make sense if it was some sort of static/cached ultrafast httpserver setup...) Excellent lab, either way! It is good to be able to troubleshoot on the fly, and the time limit is very generous.

without any knowledge of Linux or SSH it could be difficult to change to the directory var/www/html or even to create it if it is not found. I did not manage to restart apache 2 after several tries. However, I guess the lab recognised that the tasks were completed and the Instance was correctly configured.

I could not complete this step without error: In your ssh session on bloghost, change your working directory to the document root of the web server: cd /var/www/html
