lab was informative and clear, but for some reason I could not access the url of the index.php, i could curl it, could not see it with my own eyes sadly.

I am pretty sure I had correctly copied the startup script, yet apache had not been installed and had to run the command from ssh. It might also be worth reminding to check whether one is using "http" or "https" when opening a new browser window

Task 1: On instance startup, Apache and MySQL did not install because the startup script couldn't get a lock on apt, probably because updates were running when the instance came up. There should have at least been a troubleshooting section instructing users about this possibility, and guiding them to install manually via SSH. Task 3: The Cloud Shell did not appropriately configure the project variable or the gcloud project set, so the storage bucket didn't get created until I manually did that. Again, someone unfamiliar with gcloud might not know and would probably need a troubleshooting section in case this happens again. Task 4: I don't understand why you have students hardcode insecure passwords in conf files. It's 2026, even a person new to GCP should be striving to do better, even if it is just a simulated lab.
