the yaml file configuration is cumbersome... editing on cloud editor may not be available if sits inside a corporate env, as most companies block access

I would suggest moving the "if something goes wrong... warning to "Deploy the configuration" preamble or between steps 1-2 since that is where one might run into issues previewing their deployment.
