This lab does not present a clear point. Previous labs have already introduced Cloud SQL, so it seems like it is only trying to give an overview of how instance/database/table creation can be performed on the command line, instead of via the web console. It also illustrates very, very briefly how SQL can be used to explore the integrity of a dataset, which feels out of scope and doesn't add a lot to the topics covered in this module of the course.
