The code needs to be fixed. The below line throws an error and BUILD fails in the first step. gcloud builds submit --tag "$GCP_REGION-docker.pkg.dev/$GCP_PROJECT/$AR_REPO/$SERVICE_NAME" It is because: it translates with an incorrect file path. THIS CAN BE FIXED BY: gcloud builds submit --tag "$GCP_REGION-docker.pkg.dev$GCP_PROJECT/$AR_REPO/$SERVICE_NAME" Remove the '/' after pg.dev
