This lab was missing configuration instructions particularly for the require "location" to be set when creating the database. To do this, I had to figure out where Firebase is set up, then set the defaults there. I could not do this from the GCP console. I also encountered an issue with being unable to write the test records because the database was configured with the wrong mode. Overall, I could not complete the lab in time due to these problems. On my second attempt, I made sure to configure Firebase first, then switch the default database mode to native in Firestore on the Google Cloud Console. I was able to complete the lab.
