Finally got the lab to run successfully. Had to do extra work, but I'll take that as additional practice. I worked around the issue of data not being published by going to Pub/Sub and replaying older messages, as new messages were not being published for some reason.

Everything was fine up until trying to run the job in Dataflow. I tried recreating the job three times and evening creating a new subscription in Pub/Sub, but the Dataflow job consistently did not pull new data for some reason.
