Pub/Sub kept failing because I was entering the project id for the output table inside angle brackets. The instructions did not make it clear that you were to replace all of <project id> with your project id

The initial steps in looker where we were asked to add our custom dashboard_sort field as the date range dimension seems to be out of date. adding this field gave me "invalid dimension". The only way I got it to work was by ignoring that step (leaving it as timestamp) and following all subsequent directions
