I also had the empty data issue reported by most. Finally, while on "Task 3. Set up a Dataflow Pipeline", I was able to get data after checking the box: Optional Parameters>Enable Streaming Engine.

Same issue reported by most. Waited for more than 3minutes and re-tried. Unable to explore with Looker Studio. No data from the source.
