Can get the permissions with the steps on gcloud init. Something has change and can't get access to the bucket to do the transfer of files

Not good! Too much copy and replace and get all tied up in the mechanics of doing the lab loosing site on what is happening. ALSO too many identities. My Google account and lab account caused Chrome to not know who was logged into what.
