the possible solution provided in 'Extra Credit' seems incorrect (BigQuery silently ignore the unsupported option) for setting expiration date for view. The correct process is Create a logical view via DDL, then apply it after the view is created using an ALTER VIEW statement, like this. ALTER VIEW ecommerce.vw_large_transactions SET OPTIONS ( expiration_timestamp=TIMESTAMP_ADD(CURRENT_TIMESTAMP(), INTERVAL 90 DAY) );
