There should be a CLI focused quest which includes this one as a key component. FYI - the initial install didn't work but I used yum to install gcloud and everythig else went smoothly.

the >> ~/.bashrc commands are unnecessary, made an error while copying and pasting the commands and had to edit the bashrc file using VIM, if some other user would have had the same error it would have trashed the lab for him
