Lab was totally confusing with step wrong description. Check progress was also not working properly.

python version is not updated. Zone change doesnt work.

Installed gcloud is not compatible with Python version 2. Python error. Could not complete step 1. /home/student-03-e53851022b6d/google-cloud-sdk/install.sh Welcome to the Google Cloud CLI! ERROR: Python 2 is not compatible with the Google Cloud SDK. Please use Python version 3.5 and up. If you have a compatible Python interpreter installed, you can use it by setting the CLOUDSDK_PYTHON environment variable to point to it.

Unable to get a complete checkbox on step: "Create an instance with name as lab-2 in Project 1" Even created the devops role in both projects and created the lab-2 instance in both projects just to be certain it was was not an issue of wrong project. Re-doing the lab it worked this time around. seems Zones are very sensitive in regards to getting a pass or not. Also Cent-OS VM comes with Python 2.7 which is not compatible with gcloud SDK, so one needs to first upgrade Python in order to be able to install gcloud

gcloud installation error ERROR: Python 2 is not compatible with the Google Cloud SDK. Please use Python version 3.5 and up. no instructions to fix that
