It was definitely useful to walk through the steps to setup a VPC.

Fun lab! Very explanatory. One thing I would add as a note is explain how to ssh. The PEM file is visible but since it's in the bottom left corner it's not easily recognizable. Instructions to download it and ssh with the PEM key and the user (ec2-user) would be great. Also, add a note to skip the IAM part when creating the EC2 instance as is shows a red when creating the instance and makes it seem like you can't proceed, when you really can.

I followed the directions and didn't encounter any problems. I'm a software engineer and not a networking person , so while I completed the lab, I'm not totally sure what I accomplished. It wasn't clear that we needed to use the PEM/PPK files to ssh into the ec2 instance.

Being a detail person, the details of what was where was not accurate and cost me time--which then gave me a bit of a time crunch in completing the lab in the allowed time. I wanted far more time to explore and learn. This exercise was useless to me.
