THE LAB FAILED A FORTH TIME using a different browser. I contacted qwiklabs support on the first time. Got one response, tried what they said, didn't get another response from support. Common folks, gotta do better than that!

THE LAB FAILED A THIRD TIME! After selecting the Start button the environment didn't appear to setup and when selecting the Open Console button received the unique federation login error over and over while the clock ticked down. Something clearly went wrong.
