It is good that different labs use some of the alternative ways of doing the same thing in the management console. This lab would have been better with a few extra steps for remotely connecting to the instance we'd assigned a special public IP address.

Great lab. I didn't see the 2nd line as referenced (I believe) in step 16... The second row shows the route that the Amazon VPC wizard added to enable traffic destined for an IP address outside the VPC (0.0.0.0/0) to flow from the subnet to the Internet gateway. There was only one route displayed not two.
