This lab does an awful lot, and it accomplishes it through copy-and-paste. There needs to be more explanation of what is happening and why. For example, I really don't know what the GCE instance is doing. I accidentally closed my SSH window to the GCE instance and reopened it. Forgetting to reset the PORT instance variable to 8081, I was very confused when I got BAD_GATEWAY errors out of subsequent attempts to curl the instance's public IP. I'm going to need a third party tutorial to understand why we started a GCE instance at all.
