Environment variable $WORK_DIR is defined somewhere in the script? When cloud shell reconnect (connection hiccup) the env variable is lost and all have to be figured out and reset.

Good lab to illustrate concept. I got disconnected and many variables were unset. Why not just attempt to source ./env, if it exists, on every new shell? Also, one command is out of beta, but in the lab it's listed as beta and the syntax didn't work.

The istioctl does not install correctly, did manually. Also finding the scripts are not working correctly with ./ path.
