[DEPRECATED] AHYBRID070 Configuring GKE for Multi-Cluster Operation with Istio Reviews

Couple of Issues: 1. Change the branch version to v1 in below git clone: git clone -b workshop-v1 https://github.com/GoogleCloudPlatform/anthos-workshop.git anthos-workshop 2. istioctl command not found, so re-downloaded: Downloading istio-1.6.5 from https://github.com/istio/istio/releases/download/1.6.5/istio-1.6.5-linux.tar.gz ...Failed. 3. correcting the env var: export BASE_DIR=${PWD} Not able to fin ${PWD}/.. After above changes, lab finished succesfully.

istio install is broken - many issues starting with helm3 being downloaded instead of helm2... tried again and parsing / templating issues were reported. i was able to get the cluster working by deploying latest istio 1.6 and applying the multicluster as per Istio site documentation. althi
