connection to cloud shell breaks. on resuming, the new shell does not remember the environment path set, and the location of where you were in the directory. Plus gcloud authentication is lost. So hard for the enduser to know where to start ; since starting at the place where it dropped off - doesnt work; and also the clusters etc are still running, that was started during the first try.
