1. For custom query section, mention setting Dimension to highway in chart's data settings. 2. In BigQuery UI, mention disabling "Show preview features" in order to see the Query history in the left nav as described in the text.

What was the point of step 1? SSH into a VM and do nothing with it? We created a dashboard using Data Studio, but I didn't see any streaming data. Wasn't even mentioned.
