yesterday -- there must have been an outage - but the error msg was not clear - tried 3 times. today i got right in but the security was wrong. i had to gcloud auth and use the student account to authenticate. the VM did not have access to the resource. the student does not have access to iAM -so the lab instructions really need to be updated
