I'd highly recommend to create the cluster AT THE BEGINNING. Make sure to provide an explanation on why it is in the beginning because it is more logical to have cluster creation as task 3.

excellent job ....congratulations ...if possible, somehow, it would be nice if you could add some concepts and documentation along with the lab steps , and a set of questions at the end related to each phase of the lab...so, it could assist/help us to retain/gain knowledge gradually...btw, it has a pleasure to take these labs...congratulations!

We should have used a distroless image in dockerfile where it will reduce the image size which is the kubernetes best practice. Rest is fine. Thank you.
