Introduction to AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) Reviews

I thought this was a little TOO basic and easy. Perhaps going through the process of defining a password policy or similar real-world best practices would have been a good addition.

The steps made sense in a vacuum, but I don't understand how this would work with existing active directory accounts. How does IAM fit into the suggested devops model? Seems more useful for someone playing with it or for personal use than a management tool suitable for corporate use.
