I sincerely hope the Qwiklabs team are sensitive enough with the GCP updates from time to time. There are way too many outdated materials found on the instruction of this lab. Learners really need time to figure out certain things such as the "insert" tag and how to "Install Monitor Agents". Same as some other learners, I also cannot pass the 4th assessment: Create user defined logs-based metrics.
