some steps are wrong. eg. this gcloud config set compute/zone us-central1-a should be gcloud config set compute/zone us-central1 no "-a" at the end.

Not provided points even though succesfully created Dataproc cluster and submitted the job. There was an error: "ERROR: (gcloud.dataproc.clusters.create) Error parsing [cluster]." Had to do `gcloud config set dataproc/region us-central1`

The first half was fine but the command to create the cluster (check 5) did not work successfully and thus could not progress. Later after talking to tech support we discovered there is a flag missing on the command to create the cluster: "--region global". This flag is also needed when you run the command to send the job to the cluster. Alternately, after setting the zone for the cluster in the lab step before creating it, this command can be run: "gcloud config set dataproc/region global" which will allow the rest of the lab to work flawlessly.
