as I don't know jupyter notebooks a bit tough following the instructions but managed to complete the lab successfully in first try. so instructions are very detailed for sure.

There is a lot of busywork to change the whole notebook to just generate a script.

The instructions for UI elements and navigation were outdated, and it made very little sense to me to keep editing cells in a notebook to output the notebook source to a python file. I'd rather just have the python file as a given and spend more time exploring Dataproc itself rather than a convoluted Jupyter workflow.
