It could be helpful to update this lab to the last version of Big Query. For instance, when you are creating the table from a GCS bucket file, the path where the file is storage doesn't need anymore the gs:// part.

no way to create the query, I could not create the dataset, because the location of the .csv file was not valid according to the lab documentation.
