it is not clear that you can only use IPv4 addresses, also not clear that it could take some time for the firewall rules to fully propagate so success when is supposed to fail can happen

The "External IP" section of the edit vm is obscured by the NIC section, adding an extra step in there will save time for people trying to find it. Also copy/paste has been turned off (except for the command line boxes). But there are some tables that have values that would be nice if they were able to copy/paste.

Had problems finding where to remove the external IP from the VM, I believe that GCP interfaces have changed form the ones referred in the labs

My ip was ipv6 and the console firewall refused an ipv6 ip as the source ip. Wot.

Some steps when updating the firewalls rules for the webserver dont go into enough details. Specifcally the one with ephemeral IP. Could figure it out but one or two more lines of guidance would smooth it out.
