copy and paste blocks should be configured with variables and setting a variable up front.... or dont bother with the blocks.

Consider setting the DB host as an environment variable like: export DB_HOST=1.2.3.4 Then all subsequent commands will not need manual editing. mysql -u root -p -h $DB_HOST Also, there are code blocks that are not code blocks and should be called out better (eg. commands within MySQL) but that can also be run as a commandline with mysql -e <command> instead.
