Downloading the oracle installer is such a hassle; I followed the instructions but the bastion VM was not downloading the file. I have to attempt the lab again because time ran out.

Instructions are sometimes vague, not sure whether they were talking about the bastion host side or the BMS side at times, causing confusion. Also some instructions are out of date with the newer UI in Cloud Console, also causing some confusion.
