The debian image in mydeploy.yaml is deprecated. I had to delete the deployment and change / try different versions, wasting about 10 minutes. message: The resource 'projects/debian-cloud/global/images/debian-9-stretch-v20201216' is deprecated. A suggested replacement is 'projects/debian-cloud/global/images/debian-9-stretch-v20210122'. message: The resource 'projects/debian-cloud/global/images/debian-9-stretch-v20210122' is deprecated. A suggested replacement is 'projects/debian-cloud/global/images/debian-9-stretch-v20210216'. message: The resource 'projects/debian-cloud/global/images/debian-9-stretch-v20210216' is deprecated. A suggested replacement is 'projects/debian-cloud/global/images/debian-9-stretch-v20210217'. message: The resource 'projects/debian-cloud/global/images/debian-9-stretch-v20210217' is deprecated. A suggested replacement is 'projects/debian-cloud/global/images/debian-9-stretch-v20210316'. In the end I figured out a valid debian-9-strech image version by getting the command line equivalent from "Compute Engine -> VM instances" gui v20211209 was the working one.
