The issue with this lab is we must wait some times for a long time till we can do some steps, like this step fro example, -----------In the second dropdown list, select vpc_flows, and then click OK. If you do not see vpc_flows, wait a few minutes for this log type to show up. -------------- I ended up reading the whole lab instructions till the flow log appears.

correction in the query for the name of the table, it should be as below (need to remove last _ symbol): #standardSQL SELECT jsonPayload.dest_instance, resource FROM `flowlogs_dataset.compute_googleapis_com_vpc_flows*` WHERE jsonPayload.connection.dest_port = 22 LIMIT 1000
