So bad can't ssh using instructions, tried to use google terminal and got blocked. metadatainstructions so confusing edit button not making ui editable right away, misleading metadata option on left sidebar led to so much watsed time

When you ran gcloud compute ssh mc-server, GCP rejected your SSH connection with the error: student_04_8cf8069d1cfa_qwiklabs@136.70.125.239: Permission denied (publickey). This happened because OS Login was enabled on the project/instance, but there was an identity mismatch or broken key synchronization between your Cloud Shell session and Google's central IAM identity service: The Mismatch: Cloud Shell generated an SSH key pair tied to your local Cloud Shell user identity (student_04_8cf8069d1cfa), but OS Login tried to authenticate as a modified corporate identity (student_04_8cf8069d1cfa_qwiklabs). The Re-creation Factor: When you deleted and recreated mc-server, the new VM imported default project-level OS Login settings without having your updated SSH public key in its local user profile, blocking connection attempts via public key authentication. 2. Why did --tunnel-through-iap fail with 4033: 'not authorized'? When trying the IAP option, GCP returned a 4033 permission error. In Qwiklabs environments, student user accounts are given temporary IAM permissions that typically lack the roles/iap.tunnelResourceAccessor role, preventing you from tunneling through IAP TCP forwarding.
