After providing the lab's login account and password, the login dialog asked for a verification phone number, whic I am not willing to provide. The login should work without additional (pivate) phone verification.

Please write, that there are only lower-case bucket-names allowed and also in the error-message of gcloud command. "Invalid name" is not very communicative what the real issue is. The GCloud console gives more information like "only lower case allowed".
