First time connecting to the vm-internal did not work (255 error) there is a conflict of which ssh policy to use and the project one takes precedence. I've had to delete ssh keys, set the rule to not use project ssh and tunnel with no ssh. Only then it managed to connect to the instance. After that I could tunnel into the vm using your commands
