The region repository is fixed as us-central1, and at lab we are using other region and passing the region as $REGION, for my lab i was using us-east4 and i had to create repository at us-central1 because cloudbuild was returning error.

This is a good lab, however I had to modify the docker code to reflect the correct region. The lab calls for using us-east4 region, however the container is configured to use us-central1 so this causes issues with the initial build as it cannot locate the repository "my-repository" in us-central1 as it was created in us-east4. I would recommend using the region the docker container code is referencing.
