Could not complete the lab due to errors in the data_download.py utility. Would you please double-check the lab codes. Thank you!

No, seems the instructions to start the jupyter notebook is missing content. As I didn't find Tensor 2.6 there and hence cells were failing while building model.

There are so many issues with this lab. Most importantly, there is simply not enough time to complete the lab in one try. There is a lot of content to go through and many time-consuming operations. Additionally, the instructions have to be updated to a newer TF version (instead of 2.6). With 2.11, there are dependency errors that need to be fixed (wget, for example), and I had to troubleshoot an error downloading the xlsx file (it worked after fixing the dependencies and deleting the data folder). With 2.16, there is an error with tf.keras.layers.DenseFeature not being supported. The plots worked, but plot_model did not, even after installing pydot and graphviz. I'm going to try a second time and race through the content in an attempt to complete in the given time. Instructions require machine type e2-standard-2, but the job parameters (CustomContainerTrainingJob) list e2-standard-4. The CustomContainerTrainingJob did not complete after more than 30 minutes when the time for the lab elapsed.

Installing dependencies failed (likely because of building apache beam from source, commenting it out from requirements.txt worked). Custom training job got stuck in pending stage.
