Loading Taxi Data into Google Cloud SQL 2.5 Reviews

I cannot complete the lab. I try connecting to the cloud shell instance, and it does not connect even when I let it sit there for the full hour.

Lab outdated: when creating instance, need to specify zone otherwise we get an error (btw instance creation takes a lot of time guys!!)

Region had to be specified when creating SQL instance: --region=us-east1

its not possible to create the mysql instance with the shell instruction, it states that due to an org policy the us-west-1 zone is not possible to be used, I had to created it directly in the console and proceed from there

this cmd gives region permission error "gcloud sql instances create taxi --tier=db-n1-standard-1 --activation-policy=ALWAYS " Please update it. This worked for me "gcloud sql instances create taxi \ --tier=db-n1-standard-1 \ --activation-policy=ALWAYS \ --region=us-east1"
